Marshall number one in New Zealand NBL for round 10 (by Hoops Agents)

Australian Swingman Nick Marshall (198-F/G-1999) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Wellington Saints, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Giants (#11, 0-8) with 40-point margin 105-65. It allowed Saints to take over top position in the New Zealand NBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Saints has a very solid 7-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Marshall had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Saints, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Nick Marshall averages this season 19.7ppg and 6.8rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was young international forward Tohi Smith-Milner (205-F-1995) of Canterbury Rams. Smith-Milner had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds. It was enough for Rams to edge the lower-ranked Nuggets (#10, 3-6) 108-107. Rams' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 6-2 record is not bad at all. Smith-Milner is one of the most experienced players at Rams and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Australian guard William Hickey (194-G-1999) of Auckland Tuatara (#7). Hickey got into 30-points club by scoring 36 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and seven assists. Despite Hickey's great performance the Tuatara lost 110-111 to slightly higher-ranked Airs (#5, 5-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tuatara needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 4 lost games. Hickey has a great season in New Zealand. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 29.4ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 10.2rpg (3rd best) and assists with 9.0apg (2nd best).
